Moving to a new home in Oshawa? It's important to give us at least 10 business days advance notice that you'd like to open, close or update your account. This will ensure that your account information is accurate, that the electricity is on when you move into your new home or that your account is closed when you move out.

When a moving request is made after the moving date, we will process the request as effective on the date we receive it. Oshawa PUC Networks Inc.(Oshawa Power) is not able to process move requests retroactively.

Before you complete the form, please have the following information handy:

  • Your current and new address
  • Your move-in and move-out dates
  • Identification

Please note that a one-time fee of $30.00 (plus HST) is charged for setting up a new account or updating an existing account. This charge will be applied to your first bill. The person filling out this form must be the account holder.

If you are moving within Ontario and currently receive an Ontario Electricity Support Program credit on your electricity bill, you will need to reapply to receive the credit at your new address. Find out how to reapply at OntarioElectricitySupport.ca or call 1-855-831-8151 (toll-free within Ontario).

By providing Oshawa PUC Networks Inc. with your personal information as set out in this document, I hereby consent to the collection, retention and use of this information by Oshawa PUC Networks Inc in accordance with its privacy policy.

When you open an account with Oshawa PUC Networks Inc., you enter into a contract with Oshawa PUC Networks Inc. Oshawa PUC Networks Inc. is regulated by the Ontario Energy Board.

The Ontario Energy Board requires that Oshawa PUC Networks Inc. summarize the terms of its contract with you in a document called the Conditions of Service, which may be amended from time to time. When you open an account with Oshawa PUC Networks Inc., you agree to comply with its Conditions of Service. This includes paying all charges authorized by the Ontario Energy Board from the date on which service is connected and until you notify Oshawa PUC Networks Inc. to terminate the service.

All new customers to Oshawa PUC Networks Inc. may be subject to collection of a security deposit. Security deposits are calculated at the rate of 2.5 times the monthly average of the property and will be added to your first bill. Security deposits are held in trust on a residential account for a period of 12 months and will be returned with interest after that time period. We are happy to waive the deposit if you enroll in our Pre-Authorized Payment Program, otherwise you may request that your deposit be split over 6 monthly bills if requested.

Please note, existing customers who have had good payment history will us for longer than a 12 month period will have their deposit request waived. To learn about other ways to have your deposit waived please call us at 905-723-4623.
