When you open an account with Oshawa Power, you enter into a contract with Oshawa Power is regulated by the Ontario Energy Board.
The Ontario Energy Board requires that Oshawa Power summarize the terms of its contract with you in a document called the Conditions of Service, which may be amended from time to time. When you open an account with Oshawa Power you agree to comply with its
Conditions of Service. This includes paying all charges authorized by the Ontario Energy Board from the date on which service is connected and until you notify Oshawa Power to terminate the service.
All new customers to Oshawa Power Networks Inc. may be subject to collection of a security deposit. Security deposits are calculated at the rate of 2.5 times the monthly average of the property and will be added to your first bill. Security deposits are held in trust on a residential account for a period of 12 months and will be returned with interest after that time period. We are happy to waive the deposit if you enroll in our
Pre-Authorized Payment Program, otherwise you may request that your deposit be split over 6 monthly bills if requested.
Please note, existing customers who have had good payment history will us for longer than a 12 month period will have their deposit request waived. To learn about other ways to have your deposit waived please call us at 905-723-4623.
Please note that a one-time fee of $30.00 (plus HST) is charged for setting up a new account or updating an existing account. This charge will be applied to your first bill.
