The Ontario Energy Board’s provincial disconnection moratorium has been extended until June 3rd, 2021. After this date, Oshawa Power will resume our collections and disconnection processes for overdue accounts. We will also resume charging interest fees on overdue accounts as of May 1st, 2021. Visit our Financial Assistance page to find programs available to help you with your electricity bill and/or fill out an Arrears Management Program form to set up a payment arrangement and avoid entering our disconnection process.
Oshawa PUC Networks Inc. (Oshawa Power) accepts payment made by:
- Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP) or Budget Billing plans – details below
- Visa, MasterCard or American Express – details below
- Telephone or electronic payment services offered through your financial institution.
- Chartered banks, trust companies, and most credit unions
- Mailed cheque (allow 5 days for delivery)

–Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP) Plan
By signing up for our Pre-Authorized Payment plan, you can avoid late or forgotten payments. The “net amount” of your bill will be withdrawn from your bank account on the due date shown on your bill.
You will continue to receive your bills prior to the due date, allowing you to track the amount to be withdrawn. A message will appear on your bill once you have been enrolled to help ensure that you do not accidentally pay your bill twice.
In order to enroll in our PAP plan, you must provide your banking information by completing our Pre-Authorized Payment Form.
Note: Requesting a banking information change or cancellation of enrollment require 10 days’ notice prior to your upcoming due date. For more information on your right to cancel a PAD agreement, contact your financial institution or visit www.cdnpay.ca.
+Budget Billing Plan
To make budgeting easier, we’ve introduced a Budget Billing Plan. Based on your previous year’s usage, or a yearly estimate for new homes, we break your energy cost down into 12 equal payments for the year. These payments will be automatically withdrawn on the date you select – the 5th, 15th or 25th of each month, and a monthly statement will be sent out allowing you to track the difference between your budgeted balance and actual balance. A message will appear on your bill confirming your enrollment and you can call at any time to alter your monthly amount or cancel the plan.

Oshawa Power currently accepts credit card payments from Visa, MasterCard and American Express cardholders. Credit card payments can be made through Payment us. Customers using this service will be able to pay up to $1,000 per transaction and will be incur a 1.75% service fee.
